The remainder of the summer flew by!  Our wedding the in US was awesome…

Then me, Matt, my mom, dad, brother and memere all shipped off to France for round 2!

The wedding in France was amazing!

Then Matt and I were off to FIJI for a little over two weeks!  The best vacation I’ve ever had!

By the time we came back from paradise, the swim season had started and we both had to jump right back into work.  It has been very busy here but we still had time to make it back to Gardner for my cousin’s wedding!

Now we are already preparing for Christmas!

Hopefully I can keep up with the blog a little better now that we are back into the swing of things at home.  I know I enjoy looking at other’s blogs and keeping up with friends and family that way

Here are some pictures from our wedding shower that Jill, my mom and my aunt put together for Matt and I. We had a co-ed shower which was great! We were so happy that so many friends and family were able to make it!

We finished registering for gifts this past weekend! We registered at Linens and Things and Macy’s and we are also opening a honeymoon registry.

It has been challenging trying to get wedding things done when Sunday is the only day I have available. All of our swim meets have been on Saturday and they have all been away meets for the past 4 weeks. This past weekend was a 7 hour bus ride to up state NY! It was a great meet, the swimmers did well but it took a few cups of coffee to get me through Macy’s the next morning

It didn’t take as long as I thought it would to pick a bridesmaid dress! This dress is the first one Jill and I picked off the rack, the first one Jill tried on and as soon as it was on we both said “this is it.” I was so lucky to find the dress I was picturing, in the color I wanted on my first shopping visit!

Jill (Mercado not Harvey ) looked great in the dress but she felt a bit uncomfortable getting her picture taken because she is 18 weeks pregnant…That’s why it is a picture of me

I hope that the decision making process continues to be this easy!

We finally have confirmation for the place where we will be hosting our wedding in France. It will happen about 15 min from where my mum lives at Le Château Les Tilleuls in Moutsoult. For the non local that’s about 28 km (18 miles) north from downtown Paris.

We’ve been visiting a few places in the greater Boston area lately and we finely made a decision on where to do the wedding on August 23rd 2008. We’ll do it at the Wachusett Village Inn.

The wedding will be outside, under a huge tent and there is plenty of accommodations on site for everyone coming from out of state. It’s also a short 15 minutes from Kristy’s parents so the location is perfect. We’ll see you there in just a year from now

Now we only need to find a place in France… still looking.

We have picked a date! August 23, 2008

Hopefully this will be a good time for everyone to take a trip out to New England! We are also going to have a ceremony/reception in France on August 30, 2008. Hopefully a year and a half will give us enough time to save and plan for both weddings

So take out your plan books and pencil in those dates!

On Thursday evening, May 3, Matthieu told me to pack a bag for the weekend because he was taking me on a weekend trip. The next morning I spend at least 30min trying to pick what to wear because I had no idea where we were going or what we were doing! I think I packed 5 shirts for two days. It was so exciting!

We both went to work on Friday. I was so excited the entire day and could not wait to get out of work and find out where we were going. Matt picked me up when he finished work, gave me an agenda with the plans for the weekend and we were off to “location 1″ in his plan. “Location 1″ turned out to be The Pheasant Hill B&B in Marblehead, MA. We checked in around around 7:00pm.

I was so hungry when we got there and as soon as we put our bags down I was ready to get going and eat some great seafood! Matt told me I should change my shoes because my feet would be cold at dinner if we were out on the water. While I was changing my shoes he went and sat on the bed. After my sneakers were on, I grabbed his hand and tried to pull him up so we could get going. He asked what the rush was and when I turned back around he had the ring!
