The remainder of the summer flew by! Our wedding the in US was awesome…

Then me, Matt, my mom, dad, brother and memere all shipped off to France for round 2!

The wedding in France was amazing!

Then Matt and I were off to FIJI for a little over two weeks! The best vacation I’ve ever had!

By the time we came back from paradise, the swim season had started and we both had to jump right back into work. It has been very busy here but we still had time to make it back to Gardner for my cousin’s wedding!

Now we are already preparing for Christmas!
Hopefully I can keep up with the blog a little better now that we are back into the swing of things at home. I know I enjoy looking at other’s blogs and keeping up with friends and family that way

My amazing girlfriends from IU (Colleen, Jillian, Liz and Meg) bought Matt and I an Espresso maker for the wedding! We were so excited we had to try it out ASAP…..and…..It was the BEST espresso I ever had! So tasty! I’m going to try to make a cappuccino next!
Thank you ladies for the wonderful gift!!!

So Liz and Richard moved to Connecticut almost a month ago but both me and Liz have been so busy we haven’t had the chance to meet up…..UNTIL last week! We were finally able to find a day to both drove to Newport, RI to meet for lunch and a bit of window shopping in all the fun stores! The rain held out just long enough for us to take a walk on the Cliff Walk! (A nice trail next to the water behind the Newport mansions)
It was so great to see her and catch up! After the wedding, I look forward to planning some more trips!

Here are some pictures from our wedding shower that Jill, my mom and my aunt put together for Matt and I. We had a co-ed shower which was great! We were so happy that so many friends and family were able to make it!

Thanks to everyone that came and sent gifts

Finally!!! We’ve moved into our new apartment almost a month ago and we are more or less done with unpacking, cleaning, organizing, etc…
We ended up getting a bunch of new stuff to fill the space and make it look nice. A new bed with bedside tables, new chairs, a very nice new couch, closet shelves, outdoor table and chairs (for our nice porch), a tall bookshelf donated by the Martins family … that’s a lot!
This place is so much cheaper than the Cambridge area, and a lot nicer too
And it’s less than a mile from the Brown swimming pool which is good for Kristy’s commute (and bad for mine
).
We have taken a few pictures to try to give you a feel of our new home:
There are a few more pictures here.

We are moving into our new apartment in Providence in just 3 days. We (well mostly the most anal of us… me
) already started cleaning and packing for a couple of weeks. But this weekend was supposed to be major packing weekend in order to be ready for next Friday. Instead we spend our Saturday out, shopping and drinking… and our Sunday laying on our (very uncomfortable) couch, recovering from food related illness.
Now we have 3 nights and a bit of Friday morning to be ready… oh well I’ve always did everything at the last minute, why change a strategy that has proven being very efficient! And for the first time in my life I will have movers. No carrying the heavy boxes and furnitures up and down the stairs for me this time… yes!!!
Here you can see poor Kristy passed out in the couch after a harassing day of watching movies. Well she was pretty sick so at least this time she had an excuse for falling asleep at 8pm
. So next week we will exchange commutes… 1 mile for Kristy and 50 for me, which mean we might end up waking up at the same time… no more 4.20am wake up for Kristy!

Ok I have been delaying the organization of the France wedding for a while but everyone think I should start being more active about it… so I need to work on that.
What we already have:
- The place
- Hors d’œuvre / petits fours
- The food
- The cheese
- The bread and the cake
We still need to figure out what we are going to drink with all this good food
. We also need to pick up a photographer and a DJ. And all the decoration, flowers and the tableware… lot to do, especially from far.

We finished registering for gifts this past weekend! We registered at Linens and Things and Macy’s and we are also opening a honeymoon registry.
It has been challenging trying to get wedding things done when Sunday is the only day I have available. All of our swim meets have been on Saturday and they have all been away meets for the past 4 weeks. This past weekend was a 7 hour bus ride to up state NY! It was a great meet, the swimmers did well but it took a few cups of coffee to get me through Macy’s the next morning

It didn’t take as long as I thought it would to pick a bridesmaid dress! This dress is the first one Jill and I picked off the rack, the first one Jill tried on and as soon as it was on we both said “this is it.” I was so lucky to find the dress I was picturing, in the color I wanted on my first shopping visit!

Jill (Mercado not Harvey
) looked great in the dress but she felt a bit uncomfortable getting her picture taken because she is 18 weeks pregnant…That’s why it is a picture of me
I hope that the decision making process continues to be this easy!
